I love this series, and since there aren't that many discussion groups for it, and I don't feel like making accounts just so I can squee for a few minutes since I am lazy. I am going to abuse this journal for my own squeeing indulgence.

So, the chapter. I was very conflicted about it. Happy conflicted XD

I love Doi's slow turn from antagonist to a supporting character in regards to Shuu. And by that I mean, I freaking love it. Actually I just plain love Doi, Doi has been one of those peripheral characters I had hoped more development would come, I liked his character design (yes, shallow, I know), and he is getting that character development! Yay. XD

Shuu needs a character like Doi, down to earth and less understanding of his situation, and with more inner workings towards boys in elementary (as opposed to Takatsuki, Shiba and Mako-chan). Doi's character was drawn really cute in this chapter, like, really cute. When we first saw him he wasn't quite as well-drawn, it was an emphasis to make him more of a bully, but now that he's really stepping up he's starting to look more handsome.

Specially the last page, freaking loved it. I love the manga-ka's use of body language, it's exceptional. The ending words are very telling too, and I was really disappointed I was at the end of the chapter.

However, alas, the chapter was really disjointed, Shiba only had ONE line and Takatsuki wasn't seen or even mentioned! I hope they both make a comeback next chapter.

I was almost distracted by all the scene changes and all the issues that have not been resolved, were touched on, and then we had to move on. Mako-chan's feelings, Shuu's avoidance of cross-dressing, Doi's explicit hurt feelings for Shuu's words (Shuu 'hates' Doi,in marks because Shuu? Hating someone? Yeah, not believing it. Although, Doi is), Shuu coming back to the classroom, the play! A cafe cosplay too!

And my favorite conflict right now: Riku and Maho's strained (?) relationship; Riku's acting like he isn't aware of it, perhaps he's masking it (or I missed something), while Maho is trying to ignore it by bringing her feelings for her boyfriend to the front. Which, to my fangirl's brain, is a clear indication that Riku is totally not over Shuu as was foreshadowed many chapters ago, and very much painted in neon orange as trufax in chapter 39.

Interesting, sure, but it was like a wrench in the chapter, when there are more published I am sure it will make more sense It was just too much in so little pages. I can see that she's trying to highlight something, like she's dropping an anvil on my head, and I am just not getting it.

Yet.

Will Mako-chan confess just as Riku realizes, or accepts he's in love with Shuu? Is Doi being a nice guy or is he just doing it for his own selfish gain? Am I seeing a love Dodecahedron????? (more likely than you think!)What about Maho? She's been really ambiguous, sometimes I like her and sometimes I just get exasperated with her. Which makes sense as she's also confused about the entire thing. She's on the outside of the main character's orbital so she's not included in a lot of the problems. Will she grow a spine and realize that love can't be forced? Maho has forced a lot of things from Riku, one that calls my attention is her insistence he address her by her first name while it came naturally when he called out Shuu's name(a very favorite pairing moment for me).

Truthfully, I really want to see Doi's interaction with Riku. It just HAS to happen, it has to, I will be so happy when they talk/interact.

Both seem so down to earth and either of them being sexually confused is interesting. After all, when we're younger we question our sexuality it wouldn't seem strange for those two to be wondering about themselves too. They've seen Shuu as a girl AND both consider him extremely good looking. So are they attracted to Shuu, or just the image of Shuu as a girl? Does that truly make them gay, bi, or another sexual-identity entirely? (I could of have worded that SO MUCH BETTER).


Also: I WAS SO CONFLICTED. So freaking conflicted. I have specific characters I like to pair. Takatsuki/Shiba/Anna, Riku/Shuu. There are some I like to leave alone: Maho, Mako-chan, Chii-chan, Sasa-chan, Fumiya). But the last few chapters have really made me want to tear my hair out.

I really love both these pairings and I just couldn't decide, nor would I be very happy if neither were to...well at least develop more: Doi/Shuu & Shuu/Riku.

I resolved it though. Doi/Shuu/Riku. My yuri threesome is fun, why not throw in a yaoi one. It makes me feel better.

Ugh, is it the next chapter yet??
